Packing List

Packing List

Why should you take a CPBS course? Check out our video!

Here is a list of recommended items for your stay at Cedar Point. To help you, we have identified items in bold that we think are indispensable (or at least high priority). Expect to get wet and dirty as a part of class exercises or out on your own. Bring clothes and shoes suitable for wading, canoeing, and hiking in rocky terrain (there are snakes and burrs, so long pants are smart). Field activities are conducted in any type of weather, so bring clothes suitable for wet and cold weather as well as hot and dry. Most Cedar Point buildings are not air-conditioned.

Important Notice!

YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN TWIN-XL SIZE BEDDING, INCLUDING A PILLOW AND MATTRESS COVER!

PROHIBITED ITEMS
  • Appliances that use lots of electricity: space heaters, air conditioners, microwave ovens, coffee makers, refrigerators, etc. The electrical service is not designed to handle this kind of a load, and you will blow the circuits leaving everyone in the dark!
  • Candles, incense, fireworks, or matches. The risk of a fire spreading through the station is too great to allow open flames of any kind.
  • Alcohol. UNL is a DRY campus, and we are part of UNL thus making CPBS a DRY campus as well.
