Scholarship Application

The application has closed for the 2024 summer.

Any student taking a class at our campus is eligible for the CPBS room and board scholarship. 

To complete the application process, you must complete this webform (including the letter of interest) and obtain a letter of recommendation.

The webform has a letter of interest upload area (THIS IS NOT THE SAME THING AS YOUR LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION). In this portion please be ready to upload a document answering these two questions:

1. Why do you want to take classes at Cedar Point? (e.g., what do you foresee gaining from this experience?)
2. What will you be able to contribute to Cedar Point while you are taking classes this summer?

Please ask an educator that knows you to write a short (3-5 sentences) letter of recommendation in support of your application for the scholarship. We prefer a UNL faculty member, but it is by no means necessary; they should be someone who knows you well. Their letter needs to include comments on your work ethic and character and their belief in your success in an immersive, experiential classroom setting. Ask this person to email their letter to cpbs@unl.edu.

After you hit the submit button at the bottom of the form, you will be redirected to a success page and emailed within 5 business days. If this does not happen, your scholarship application has not been successfully submitted and processed. Try using a different browser, and if that does not work, please email us at once.

We would like to see applications in prior to mid-March, but we will continue to accept applications if we have the funds. We will update as we know more.
