Research
Cedar Point has a long history of insightful original research. This is a direct result of the outstanding researchers who choose to use Cedar Point as the site for their research. We offer researchers many services that allow them to focus more time on their research.
During the summer field season, meals are served three times a day seven days a week. The station provides daily mail service, internet, a library, and fax machine. The relaxed inviting atmosphere leads to intellectually stimulating interactions and collaboration among scientists.
Cedar Point has considerable common use general research equipment; however, researchers are required to supply their own specialized equipment. Inquiries about equipment availability should be made to the Associate Director.
Researchers interested in working at Cedar Point must submit a research plan, proposal, obtain all permits and the permission of the director. Extramural funding proposals should list Cedar Point as the site of research. Both Cedar Point and Arapaho Prairie have long term secure sites that give you peace of mind your research is going to have a site year after year.

Cedar Point can offer you a lab away from your lab in a quiet, relaxing setting without all the disruptions of campus allowing you to get more work done. Cedar Point offers family friendly housing options for faculty researchers who with to bring their family along.

Graduate Students
Cedar Point offers a diverse array of habitats for you to ask profound biological questions. Funds are available to help with costs through the Edna I. & William H. Linder Fellowship or Adrian M. Srb Memorial.
Undergraduate Students
Cedar Point is an excellent place to gain valuable research experience. You can either design your own research project after consulting with a faculty member, or work on one of the established projects that faculty members have set up. If you design your own project, we have funds available through the Edna I. & William H. Linder Fellowship , J. Ve. Srb Memorial Fund Memorial Funds and UCARE.
Cedar Point is also a site for the RUTE program. RUTE is Research for Undergraduates in Theoretical Ecology; a National Science Foundation funded program.
