Camps

The University of Nebraska’s Cedar Point Biological Station is pleased to announce we will again be offering summer mini-courses for area children. The curriculum is designed for elementary age children.

Classes will be filled in the order applications are received and are limited to 15 children for each session.

About the Camps

  • The cost is $50 per child for a session.
  • If you have more than one child you would like to sign up, please fill out a separate form for each child.
  • Your child should bring a water bottle and wear sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable clothing/ shoes to do lots of walking or wading.

Feathered Friends
Learn about birds and their adaptations, how we study them, and what they can tell us.
June 4-8 9-11:30 a.m.
Reptiles and Geology
Learn about the geology of the Platte River valley and the Reptiles that live around us.
June 11-15 1:30-4 p.m.
Plants and Insects
Learn about plant and insects, and their unique adaptations.
June 25-29 9-11:30 a.m.
Mammals and Scientific Principals
Learn about the mammals of the area, food webs, and scientific experimentation.
July 9-13 9-11:30 a.m.
