Meals

Meals are served daily from mid-May through mid-August. The Fees page has information on the meal pricing.

Meals are served buffet style, with a vegetarian option available at every meal. In addition we have a 6 foot salad bar loaded with fresh fruit and vegetables to offer extensive choices for everyone.

Visitors are welcome to stay for meals, but you must get the Associate Director's or Director's permission so that we can inform the kitchen of the increased number of servings to prepare. You are responsible for paying for your guests meals.

During the "off-season" the station has a kitchen available for researchers to prepare their own meals. Safeway and Sunmart grocery stores are located in Ogalalla, as well as a wide variety of restaurants for those who would prefer not to cook. The kitchen is stocked with the cooking equipment you will need, you simply supply the food.

Library

Library
Cedar Point's library houses hundreds of books, journals and topographical maps. Materials can be searched through UNL's library and Digital Commons (which has all Ph.D. dissertations from UNL).

Equipment

The station has common use materials for course and research projects. These include common hand and garden tools, a workshop for construction of research apparatuses all the way up to boats and vehicles. Some equipment has limitations to use, so contact the Associate Director with questions on availability of equipment.
