Let us define Cedar Point alumni within a broad expansive view of the facility. From 1975 onward annual numbers have gone up and down but how the facility is used each summer has not changed in any substantial way. Alumni are not just unl students or even just biology majors. Cedar Point Campus was originally built as a girlscout camp in 1960, but was used prior to that and after 1975 by girlscout from all over Nebraska. In the summers of 1971-1974 the facility was also used by Doane College and as a summer church camp. So while the core of our alumni were at Cedar Point Biological Station as UNL undergraduate Biology majors the other catagory may actually be the majority of our alumni.
All past users should feel welcome and free to participate in the future of CPBS as full and equal alumni partners.

Giving to Cedar Point!
Cedar Point has had a profound impact on so many lives. This is evident by the number of people who stop by to see us every summer. An important part of our success is the gifts that alumni give to Cedar Point. If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to Cedar Point Biological Station general fund we appreciate your gift and will put it to good use. Gifts can be made though the University of Nebraska Foundation. With state and federal funds becoming more scarce, your gift is more important than ever.
